Day 1 - Europe
Wednesday, August 8, 2007, 23:39
Planet is now open.
Free entry, entrée libre, vrije ingang, zollfreie Einfuhr, entrata libera, entrada livre...

This day was dedicated to the Old Continent, Europe with lots of eye catching animations on the screen, plus the fantastic 360 degree panoramas of course.

Since all of the panoramic images run around the screen and have some animations too a static panoramic image can be taken only when the technicians stop it for a minute or two for me. Next time I will capture a short video with my compact digital camera that has been collecting dust somewhere around the house.

So, here we are. The Planet Panorama of Day One by Thomas Williams.

I spent several hours inside the tent to see how the Sziget tenants react while watching the panoramic projections. These pictures will speak for themselves. Look at the faces and gestures of the visitors.

The projection unit captured the imagination of the technical minded, of course.

While the stage inside is turned to a party arena for the night there's still something to see. Panoramic prints of Thomas Williams, Oliver Cannell, Dylan Swan, Sven Hafner, Jan van der Woning, John Dobbins and Tamas D.Varga are placed outside the tent.
